British Transport Police and West Midlands Railway partner to tackle anti-social behaviour on Chase Line

Following an increase in youth anti-social behaviour incidents across the Chase Line (Birmingham New Street to Walsall to Rugeley), British Transport Police (BTP) is increasing patrols using targeted operations.

Remembrance: London Northwestern Railway helps Milton Keynes veterans pay respects

London Northwestern Railway (LNR) partnered with military veterans in Milton Keynes to pay respects at a London ceremony today.

West Midlands Railway confirms reduced timetable on Monday 7 November despite strike suspension

West Midlands Railway (WMR) has confirmed a reduced timetable on Monday 7 November, with four additional reinstated services after industrial action was suspended.
Due to the lateness of the RMT announcement on Friday afternoon, it will not be possible to reinstate the normal West Midlands Railway timetable. This is due to staffing rosters and train movements being planned many days in advance.

West Midlands Railway issues reminder to Herefordshire and Worcestershire passengers ahead of strike action

Passengers in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are being reminded there will be no direct trains to Birmingham tomorrow (Friday), Saturday, Monday or Wednesday due to industrial action.

Passengers urged to plan ahead of major Trent Valley engineering work

Rail passengers are being advised of changes to journeys over nine days in October during major Trent Valley line upgrade work.

New West Midlands Railway fleet enters passenger service

A brand new West Midlands Railway (WMR) train fleet has welcomed its first passengers on board today (Monday 17 October).
Passengers – plus a small band of railway enthusiasts - climbed aboard the Class 196 train at Shrewsbury railway station shortly before 7am for the maiden journey to Birmingham New Street.
