Advice to rail passengers upgraded to 'do not travel'

Rail passengers are advised not to travel today (Tuesday 19 July) on services heading in and out of London from the north as a result of the extreme temperatures.

London Northwestern Railway services will be very limited and disrupted in and out of London as a result of the extreme heat impacting rails and overhead wire systems for the second day in succession.

Tickets for travel on Tuesday can be used on Wednesday (20th) or Thursday (21st) and if a journey has been disrupted by the weather customers may be entitled to a refund.
