    New uniform for London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway employees has won ‘Best Design of the Year’ at the 2019 Professional Clothing Awards. Staff at the train operators were issued with new uniforms earlier this year, following months of consultation to put together the final design.

  • New waiting room opened to help those with hidden disabilities at Crewe station

    Passengers at Crewe station now have access to a new waiting room, specifically designed to offer those with hidden disabilities a safe and calm environment. The Calm Corner is the first of its kind on the rail network, brought to life through the work of train operators at the station, Network Rail and advice from a number of partner charities.

    West Midlands Railway is offering an exclusive treat for dads this weekend, with free train travel on Father’s Day (Sunday 16 June). Special ‘Dads Go Free’ tickets will be available to purchase from railway station ticket offices in advance or on the day, when dads travel by train with their children.

  • Rail passengers reminded of zero tolerance approach to staff abuse

    Rail passengers are being reminded that there is a zero tolerance approach taken towards the abuse of staff on the rail network. It comes following an incident at Four Oaks station last week (15 May), which resulted in a Birmingham woman receiving a four month prison sentence for assaulting both railway staff and an off duty West Midlands Police officer.
